Saturday morning, was a beautiful Fall morning to hit the Tulsa Wanenmacher's Gun Show. Just parked 1250 yards from the building entrance. My son and I made it by 9:30am.
The first thing I saw was a nice cannon for sale. The wife would not like me bring it home. I came across so many tables without someone to answer a question! but I did see Field phones (40-50$), field walky talkies, Ma Duce, M79 LAW, MG42's, M1 Carbines, M1 Garand model D's, MRE's up 25% in just six months etc. etc... Ammunition, 7.62x51mm
American Eagle Match at 1.10 a round.
Hirtenberger '77 asking 0.60¢ a round.
South African 97' asking 1$ a round!!!!!
I didn't see our old friend Royal Ordnance (Indian) at this GS.
The military surplus ammunition
this year was as rare hen's teeth throughout the GS for 7.62x51mm.M14 parts;
This was the first time I came across three dealers selling M14/M1A parts, all three had most all the smaller parts springs and bolt parts and one had four trigger groups and op rods and bolts plus gas systems parts.
M14 stocks, with metal, 50$ each (3) real bad looking.
Op rods selling for 200$ and a SA for 250$.
Trigger groups, selling for SA 420$, 340$ WRA
Pistons still selling for 40$ ea.
Real flash suppressors again 150$. M14/M1A Rifles;
SOCOM II asking 1,650$.
One standard M1A Springfield asking $ 2,250, scope, nice wood stock and bipod.
One standard M1A Springfield asking $ 2,500, scope, nice wood stock.
One NM M1A Springfield asking $ 2,795, scope, SS barrel, walnut, born date May 2010.
Old Rock standard asking 2,850$
Armscorp w/Douglas stock SS barrel 3,500$
One NM M1A Springfield asking $ 4,800, scope, SS barrel, check, new walnut stock.
I had one vendor with a M1A on his table, no tags for a description or cost. So I asked him how much? He told me it's not for sell here, but at his house not to far from here. So I asked him how muck for the rifle at his house? He still would not tell me, so I just shook my head and walked away talking under my breath.
Three different dealers were selling MRE's for $8 each or 3 for 20$ or a case at $60 each, all the dealers have several on the .
Lots of Garands with the D's coming out of the woodwork. Stating at 4,100 - 4,500$ and M1 Carbines, start at $675 an going up from there to one dealer selling them for 2,700 - -3,100$ each. I saw more M1 Carbine ammunition
from 200 - 300$ a can than I saw 7.62x51 military surplus ammunition
again starting at 200$ for sealed cans (7). I have never seen three MG 42's in one GS, only asking 25K! With the tripod 1,300$ by it's self. I did seen a 1945 case of 8mm ammunition with all five battlepacks inside for 1,750$, nice and clean. FALs starting at 800 - 1.300$ each. Many dealers had the M6 bayonets for sell starting at 75$
Ma Duce time... barrels starting at 800$ eack (2), the M3 tripod asking 1,300$, M57 firing device 10$, a set of go/nogo gauge for 75$, M2 flash hinders (4) 75$ea, the M2 T & E parts for 75$. Everything but the MG body for sell, the ammunition was selling for 4.95$ a round throughout the GS.
And for 26th LGS
I saw zero M\96 Swedish Mauser's.
I saw more dealers selling pocket watch's than 7.62x51mm military surplus ammunition
. So next April 2017 is the next Tulsa Wanenmacher's Gun Show to see.
