So my madness for 2017 will be working on accuracy loads using smokless powder in a modern muzzeloader. I have decided to use an in-line muzzleloader in fifty caliber. I'm leaning towards those sabots with something like 45 caliber bullets. Figure the steel in the rifle would be able handle an appropriate charge.

What could go rong.

I've always used black powder in those that load from the front . I do seem to remember there was one of the savage line that was supposed to be able to use one of the slower rifle powders as fuel .
