Before just now, I was unaware there was a Model 11 separate from the Model 10. I didn't have to look far before finding some guys discussing the Model 11 in .38S&W, which were mostly shipped to England, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and other countries of the former British empire.

Some of those guys said they owned pre- Victory Model examples. I also previously read elsewhere that a good many were purchased by the OSS for use in British territory.

As has been discussed here in other threads, the .38S&W cartridge used a 200gr cast lead bullet, hence the British designation of .38-200 or .380 Revolver.

Model 10's were .38 Specials. Model 11's were 38 S&W .

And while the Model 10 in .38Spl, in different variants, has enjoyed continuous popularity, the info I found said the Model 11 was discontinued in 1965.

You know, regardless of the particular subject, we all tend to start at about the same place.
