Well, this simple little posting has cleared over 100,000 hits in just a few years, it looks like there is no stopping the search for good military surplus ammunition these days.

Well, it's been three years today since I have started posting weekly update's on military surplus ammunition from around the world here. It's gone well for a lot of the people that have come to use the information each week. Some weeks the posting has had over a 1,000 hits! It has been nice to see over 139,000 hits on this small backwoods outpost here on the internet. It's still even harder for me too believe the change that has happened to the Military Surplus ammunition in 7.62x51mm during the last 36 months that I have been reporting it here in the Ammo Dump. I started out reporting on 17 different suppliers/vendors and 13 countries to choose from for military surplus ammunition.

With a dry period the past 18 months it's been hard to find good old military surplus ammunition or reloading parts or even real USGI M14 parts that have not gone through the roof, with so many people looking for them and the government once again for the War front.

Now look at it, we are doing much better today than the last 18 months, with 5 different counties of the older military surplus ammunition and 19 dealers selling the new and older 7.62x51mm ammunition from around the world. We are seeing more of the newer counties manufacturing the 7.62x51mm once again, the world markets still see a large need for it once again.

Thank you all for coming on by and stopping for a look and for the few who left a posting or a PM on something they found that could help out others on this board and others, thank you very much.

Ken

I was asked if I could start the "Cheapest 7.62x51mm on the Internet" way back in February of '05 by Van. Well after a quarter of a million hits (it averaged >150 hits a day) in just over four and an half years, things have changed dramatically. Now we have many more dealers on the internet selling military surplus ammunition (MSA) and yes, the prices have gone up. Now we have ~350% increase in dealers in just the past 28 months... I'm showing the prices below from the April '07 edition. There were only 10 dealers selling MSA from 7 countries and 23 dealers that were out of stock at the time.
